Telephony FAQ
Can I keep my current number?+
Yes. When ordering you choose "Keep existing number" and enter the number, org/personal number and desired porting date — we handle the move. Porting normally takes 5–10 business days.
What does calling cost?+
Swedish landlines 0.12 kr/min, mobile 0.62 kr/min, international from 0.28 kr/min. A 0.50 kr connection fee applies per call. Search the rate table above for the exact country price.
Do I need special equipment?+
No, not necessarily — you can call via an app or a dedicated IP phone. When ordering you can add a Gigaset IP phone or a phone box, or use your own SIP-compatible equipment.
Do I get SIP details for my own equipment?+
Yes. As a customer you get a SIP username, password and server so you can configure your own phone, ATA adapter or PBX. You find the details in My pages.
What is the difference between VoIP and a SIP trunk?+
VoIP is a ready-made home telephony service for individuals. A SIP trunk connects a company’s own PBX (e.g. 3CX) to the phone network with multiple simultaneous channels — for businesses wanting full control.
Is there a lock-in period?+
The VoIP subscription has no lock-in — cancel whenever you like. If you split a phone or box into instalments, the lock-in applies to that part.
