What is mobile broadband?
Mobile broadband is internet delivered over the mobile network instead of a fixed fibre or cable connection. You get a SIM card that goes into a router, and the router then shares the connection to all your devices over WiFi — just like ordinary broadband at home.
The difference is that nothing needs to be dug up or installed. As long as there is 4G or 5G coverage at the location, you are up and running in minutes. That makes mobile broadband a flexible option where fibre is missing, takes too long to get, or simply isn’t worth a fixed installation.
Perfect for the cabin, the camper and as backup
Mobile broadband is especially well suited to a few situations. At the cabin or holiday home you avoid committing to an expensive fixed installation for a few weeks of use per year — just bring the router and plug it in.
